Ghulam Ali is the son of Wazir Kham, a very special sarangi player who I spent time with in the 90s in Delhi (see Wazir Khan's page on this site). Ghulam Ali's grandfather was the great Badal Khan. As such he is identified with the Sonipat-Panipat gharana of sarangi, which is distinguished by the use of all four fingers.
