I first met Momin Khan in 1997 when I visited and filmed his father Moinuddin Khan in Jaipur in connection with my research on sarangi style. Now he has blossomed into a formidably eccentric sarangi player. Although he looks a lot crazier than his cousin Sabir Khan, he appears to be more anchored in classical music and less filmy in style.
